I haven't had time to do any more copying these
last few years, but through these copies, I have eventually learnt to draw
the Disney ducks-- well, not the whole body, and not as well as Carl Barks
& Keno Don Rosa, but reasonably well.
This is a detail from an A4 page full of duck; (#2) was not completed, which is a pity because the bpdy was off to a good start; (#1) is certainly my best full-body duck (though a bit short); I like expression and pose a lot.

The cars look a bit rough because the original drawings were rather small.
(#1) & (#2) are pretty good, too, though of course both Donald's crouching
pose in one and the viewing angle in the pther helped a lot.

The first one (# 1) is a copy from a Barks drawing
(Scrooge is missing his glasses on the original too).
Uncle Pothole (# 4) is inspired from the old duck as
depicted in Part 6 1/2 of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck ("The
Vigilante of Pizen Bluff"); it is not a copy in that I did not try to
reproduce every single feather (you will notice I didn't draw his beard Rosa-style,
as I did on the previous page), but rather used Don Rosa's art for "loose"
reference. The same is true of the Secret of the Old Castle-like Uncle
Scrooge (# 17).

Here again, a few drawings were done using some Barks
comics for reference (# 1 for the older Donald design, # 13 for Scrooge's
happy face).
