A few drawings by O.B.

Besides Disney Comics, there are a few bandes dessinées (French comics-- often by Belgian authors, actually, but all in French) that I love: Hergé's Tintin, Goscinny & Uderzo's Astérix, Goscinny & Morris' Lucky Luke, Tibet's Chick Bill, .... I have made copies of all (except the latter), but only have a few ones kept in a file-- the others are somewhere in the books I guess.
Obélix is not bent forward enough; not quite round either.
Uderzo has a knack for caricaturing people and
being able to copy them is a great satisfaction; here is oneof Bernard Blier,
a French actor, who plays the part of Caesar's head of Intelligence Caïus
Soutienmordicus in L'Odyssée d'Astérix.
I made the head turned too wide, but the details are all right (the mouth
& nose are not quite large enough compared to the reast of my too-wide
face, though)
Zérozérosix is the top Roman spy,
and I believe you can guess whom he was modeled and named after.
A bit too wide again; maybe a smitten too short, too?
These two characters (Agecanonix's wife and Caesar) were copied from Obélix et Compagnie.
And here is the drawing I am the most proud of (as far as Astérix is concerned): it is a copy of two Roman soldiers that are featured in Obélix et Compagnie.
